Advertising Week Europe returns for a second year, after a successful reception from the industry last year. Even Boris Johnson is “delighted” to see the return of Advertising Week Europe. It will once again be held in London, and will run between the 31st of March and 4th of April. So there’s never been a better excuse to spend a week in London!
So what’s in store this year? To begin with there’s a number of celebrity headliners, including Gavin and Stacy star James Corden. He will be a guest and discuss rapid changes within the advertising industry. Then there are discussions on topics ranging from Data and technology through to building brands through advertising.
I was sent a 204 page (yes 204 pages) magazine detailing all the excitement of the week, but I’ll just give you a taste of some of the fantastic events which are scheduled. This is a great opportunity to rub shoulders with some industry executives, and of course the celebrities. (I mean who wouldn’t want to meet Freddie Flintoff?) There is four full days of seminars, workshops and special events, which may be beneficial to you and your business, even if it’s just to get a few creative ideas. The range of businesses holding talks range from Facebook to advertising agencies like Weve.
Then to bring the week to a close there’s Microsoft’s Wrap Party with headliner act Katy B.
This short post hasn’t really done the event much justice, make sure you check out the website for all the detail and the latest news.
I’ve even heard Zane Lowe from BBC Radio One will be making an appearance. But with the BBC budget cuts – it might be on the iPlayer.
